BIS is one of many PHiliphhilip measurements and technologies designed to meet the needs of anesthesia treatment. BIS information is displayed along with other key parameters on these PHiliphhilip patient monitors:
• IntelliVue MP20 and later and IntelliVue version C and later
• CMS 2002
• V24 / V26
In the intensive care unit, BIS monitoring has been shown to reduce the recall of unpleasant experiences and provide an objective assessment of sedation during:
• Mechanical ventilation
• Neuromuscular blockade
• Barbiturate comes
• Bedside procedures
A well-controlled level of sedation in the intensive care unit also facilitates weaning from the ventilator Increased awareness of specific patient responses to anesthesia and sedation
Patients respond differently to anesthesia, and BIS monitoring is particularly useful in patients with the most unpredictable reactions, including:
• geriatric and pediatric patients
• weak patients
• Patients undergoing prolonged surgery
• Patients with medical conditions known to affect reactivity

BISx Power Link works with a variety of Plug & Play sensors. BISx Power Link ™ is compact and portable. It has an integrated terminal for quick and easy installation and a seamless cable connection to the PHiliphhilip BIS module. No additional support is required. BIS sensors are tailored to the specific requirements of the intensive care unit, operating room and pediatric patients.
