About Power Supply

The menu shows the voltage and temperature measured by the display unit power management board (PMB voltage) and the CPU main board (DU voltage). The measurement starts approximately 100 ms after the start. The values in the Average column show the average for the last second, the Min column shows the minimum average, and the Max column shows the maximum average of the voltage and temperature measured during the current power-on period.

The PMB measures the following voltages on the frame drive

Raw CC

+15V 14.65….15.35

–15V -14.65 ...- 15.35V

+ 15VD 14.65 ... 16.00V

+ 5V 4.85 ... 5.25V

.

The temperature values (°C) correspond to the internal temperature of the frame unit measured by the PMB.

The numbers on this page are just instructions, not absolute values.

The following voltages are measured by the central processing board of the display unit:

+ 12V 11.50 ... 12.50V

+ 3.3V 3.00 ... 3.60V

VBUS 10.00… 17.00V

The temperature (°C) corresponds to the internal temperature of the display unit, which is measured by the central processing board.

The MPS input current is the current supplied to the module's power supply. The current must be <4A.

The AC/DC capacity used is the capacity information that the PMB receives from the AC/DC unit.

AC/DC voltage is the AC/DC power supply output voltage measured by the PMB.

Display Unit DC/DC power supply

The universal AC/DC power supply supplies the compact S/5 monitor with 15.5 V isolated power supply.

The power supply is attached to the chassis with four screws and a D25 power connector.

Cooling air for the AC/DC unit comes from the chassis unit fan through the cooling vents at the rear of the chassis unit. The power supply generates a charge signal that is read by the PMB card in the frame unit.

The AC/DC power supply is protected against overvoltages. When the output voltage exceeds 17V, the protection will be activated and the AC/DC power supply will not resume normal operation until the power cord is momentarily disconnected.

This DC/DC converter board converts primary voltages between +10 and +18 VDC to +3.3V, +5V and +12V secondary voltages. All output voltages have a common ground.

The DC/DC power supply is powered by the Vbus voltage produced by the frame unit AC/DC converter (power supply). In the event of a mains power failure, the DC/DC power supply is powered by batteries.

The turn-on and turn-off sequence of the DC/DC power supply is controlled by the logic on the DC/DC board and the CPU board software. If there is overvoltage on the output line, the converter will automatically shut down. The display unit DC/DC converter also provides a display unit fan.
