Installation Guidelines
Battery Connections
Before installation, inspect batteries for damage. Use appropriate cable cross-sections for maximum continuous current and tighten connections with proper torque (10-15nm). Mount batteries using special straps or clamps on rubber foam or blocks for vibration isolation.
Parallel Connection
For parallel configurations, connect batteries as shown below to ensure even power distribution. Capacity increases by the multiple of batteries connected, while current ratings increase by 75% of the multiple.
Parallel connection requirements:
- Ensure all batteries are fully charged with identical voltage
- Use only batteries with matching capacity
- Employ short cables of equal length between connections
- New batteries provide optimal performance
Series Connection
For series configurations, verify each battery is within 50mV (0.05V) of others to minimize imbalance. BeLY 12V batteries support series connections up to 4 units (48V maximum).
Maintenance & Storage
No regular maintenance required. Periodically check connection tightness and clean battery poles if corrosion occurs. For long-term storage, disconnect both positive and negative terminals and protect with insulating caps or tape.
