High Ribbed Formwork is an expanded metal sheet product, specifically developed for use as permanent formwork to concrete. The profile of the open mesh, in combination with the High Ribbed Formwork tangs, allows the development of dense concrete nodules and indents on the face, forming an enhanced mechanical key for the second phase pour. The resulting surface is suitable for a rendered or tiled finish.

Applications 

Hy-Rib is primarily used in construction joint applications but it is also used to form wall, beam and column surfaces and slab soffits,where the formed surface will not be seen. It has also been used successfully for sprayed concrete applications.

Installation

General

• Rib Lath must be fixed with the apexes of the ribs in contact with the support or the backing.
• Rib Lath should be lapped at the sides wire tied at intervals not exceeding 150mm.
• At the ends of the sheets, the Rib Lath should be overlapped with at least 100mm (4”).

Ceilings

• For steel beams, wire ties are needed.
• For timber joists, the rib lath can be secured by fixing nails through the rib.
• For concrete beams, it is recommended to cast a timber-nailing strip to accept nails.

Partitions

• Nails or wire ties to secure the rib lath.​

Manufacture 
Hot dipped galvanized metal sheet is processed by perforating and expanding, to be made into rib lath metal sheet.

With pallets, each pallet quantity according to request.
