- Height Limitations: Always observe the manufacturer-specified maximum extended height. Exceeding this limit risks permanent deformation of internal components and voids product warranties. For optimal service life, restrict travel within the designated actuator height range.
- Pressure Restrictions:
- Absolute Maximum Inflation Pressure: 100 psi (6.9 bar)
- Peak Internal Pressure Limit: 200 psi (13.8 bar) in any operating condition.
- These thresholds represent critical safety boundaries that must never be surpassed.
- Compression Safety: Never compress the air spring below its minimum specified height without proper bump stops installed. Bottoming out the assembly causes irreversible damage to internal components.
- Minimum Pressure Requirements: Maintain at least 10 psi (0.7 bar) residual pressure in rolling lobe/sleeve-type springs during compression attempts. This ensures proper flex member articulation and prevents destructive folding.
- Fluid Compatibility: Hydraulic oil actuation requires explicit approval from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Unapproved fluids may degrade elastomers and void product warranties. Always verify compatibility before implementation.
