The working principle of a flange air spring is based on the properties of compressed air. When air is pumped into the rubber bellows, it forms a column of air that supports the load. As the load increases, the spring compresses, reducing its internal volume and increasing its stiffness, which in turn increases its load-bearing capacity. Conversely, when the load decreases, the spring expands, reducing its stiffness. This provides a smooth, self-adjusting suspension effect.

• Effective Vibration Damping: The compressibility of air allows it to effectively absorb and dissipate impacts and vibrations from the road or machinery, leading to a smoother operation and improved comfort.
• Economic Maintenance: Some designs, like the H type, allow for the replacement of only the rubber bladder if it gets damaged, rather than the entire assembly, which significantly reduces maintenance costs and downtime.
