Application of air spring in DIE STRIPPERL:
The air spring stripper is a spring-loaded plate that can be flat or contoured to keep the material flat and close to the lower mold during the cutting process. The air spring release pad installed on the upper die seat surrounds the cutting punch. It is fixed to the upper die using standard pad spools, fixing blocks, shoulder screws or special commercially available guide spools.
Unlike the bridge stripper, the air spring stripper flattens the metal before the punch contacts. This prevents the material from sticking between the cutting punches during entry and exit. In addition, when the punch is withdrawn from the metal and the lower mold, the stripper (still spring loaded) keeps the metal down flush with the lower mold part, so that the cutting punch is completely withdrawn from the metal plate or part in the spring Before the stripper is released.
