  Sodium diisobutyl dithiophosphate (DSP-03) is an aqueous solution of dialkyl dithiophosphate, one of the key "flotation reagents" used in mineral processing. Unlike many other reagents, DSP-03 has minimal frothing characteristics, making it fast and highly selective for copper sulphide flotation, even in the presence of zinc and iron sulphides, along with copper-activated zinc sulphides from iron sulphides.

Beyond its efficacy in copper sulphide flotation, DSP-03 also finds applications in the flotation of copper-activated iron sulphides, nickel-bearing minerals, antimony minerals, and chalcocite. Additionally, it aids in improving the recovery of precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum, solidifying its position as a crucial flotation reagent in the mining industry.

  The collector's primary role is to render the surface of the target mineral hydrophobic, making it the pivotal chemical agent in flotation processes.
