Potassium Amyl Xanthate Enhances The Adhesion Of Target Minerals To Bubbles
Potassium amyl xanthate is one of the most powerful flotation collectors, and is widely used in mineral processing. It is relatively selective and has a strong tendency to float iron sulfide unless inhibitors are used. It is used as a good mining reagent for flotation treatment of all sulphides, copper / nickel sulphide ores, zinc ores and gold associated with pyrite (gold containing iron sulfide).
Storage & Handling
Storage: Store solid xanthates in original properly sealed containers under cool dry conditions away from sources of ignition.
Handling: Wear protective equipment. Keep away from sources of ignition. Use non sparking tools. Equipment should be earthed to avoid static discharge. All electronic equipment should be adjusted for work in explosive environment.

Uses
Amyl xanthate (potassium) is a kind of selective collector with strong and weak ability. It is widely used in the flotation of gold and copper ores containing copper, zinc, nickel and pyrite. It improves the recovery of gold ores and achieves satisfactory results for refractory copper lead oxide ores. It is often used in the flotation process.
