ABB DI880 3BSE028586R1 S800 I/O Module. ABB S800 I/O is a comprehensive, distributed and modular process I/O system that communicates with the parent controller via industry-standard fieldbus technology and can therefore be used with a wide range of process controllers from ABB and other vendors. ABB System 800xA is more than just a DCS (distributed control system), it is an electrical control system, a safety system and a collaboration enabler that improves engineering efficiency, operator performance and asset utilization.

 

The ABB DI880 3BSE028586R1 is a digital input module designed for high-integrity applications. It has 16 channels that accept 24V DC input signals. This module is SIL3 certified, meaning it meets stringent safety requirements for use in critical control systems. It can be configured for either single or redundant operation.

 

The DI880 is designed as ABB 800xA safey system high integrity digital input module. As a 16 channel, DI880 is 24 V d.c. digital input module for single or redundant configuration. The input voltage range is 18 to 30 V d.c. and the input current is 7 mA at 24 V d.c. Each input channel consists of current limiting components, EMC protection components, input state indication LED and optical isolation barrier. There is one current limited transducer power output per input.

 

The DI880 is a 16 channel 24 V d.c. digital input module for single or redundant configuration. The input voltage range is 18 to 30 V d.c. and the input current is 7 mA at 24 V d.c. Each input channel consists of current limiting components, EMC protection components, input state indication LED and optical isolation barrier. There is one current limited transducer power output per input. The Sequence of Event function (SOE) can collect events with a resolution of 1 ms. The event queue can contain up to 512 x 16 events. The function include a Shutter filter for suppression of unwanted events. The SOE function can report the following status in the event message – Channel value, Queue full, Synchronization jitter, Uncertain time, Shutter filter active and Channel error.
