Product Description
Differential Expansion measures how far the rotor moves axially compared to the machine casing away from the thrust bearing. These changes affect internal clearances and usually happen due to heat during startup and shutdown. A proximity probe mounted on the casing looks at an axial surface, like a collar, on the rotor.
The 3300/45 Dual Differential Expansion Monitor provides two channels of continuous monitoring. It shows both the size and direction of the movement. Each channel has four alarm setpoints: two for over and two for under. Channel B can be turned off if only one measurement location is needed.
To order spares, use the full catalog number described. This includes the front panel, monitor PWAs with sheet metal, and the relay module. The unit is fully optioned and tested, ready to install. Spare relay modules can be ordered separately.
