Product Description
Thermal Vapor Recompression (TVR) Technology
Our customized steam saving TVR forced circulation evaporators provide energy-efficient concentration solutions for dairy products, fruit juices, and sauces. The Thermal Vapor Recompression system reduces energy consumption by using high-pressure steam as motive fluid in a steam ejector to entrain recycled lower-pressure steam.
Working Principle
The falling film TVR evaporator operates through a fully automatic continuous evaporation system. Product is heated to boiling temperature and fed to the first calandria where evaporation begins. Product and vapor flow downward through tubes, with concentrated product pumped to subsequent passes for further concentration.
Key Features
  • Long production runs with high hygienic standards
  • Proven industrial technology with reliable performance
  • Fully cleanable system with Cleaning in Place (CIP)
  • Energy-efficient operation with thermal vapor recompression
  • Custom designed for specific product compositions and capacities
Performance Comparison
Evaporator Type Energy Consumption Floor Space Energy Sources Automation
Single Effect Highest - 1 ton water consumes 1 ton steam Small Steam & power with boiler Semi-automatic
Multi-Effect Energy conservation Large Steam & power with boiler Full automatic
TVR Evaporator 33% less steam than conventional double effect Large Steam & power with high-pressure steam Full automatic
MVR Evaporator Most energy saving - 10-40 kWh power consumption Small Electricity only Full automatic

Annual operating cost difference: 3,139,200 RMB savings with MVR technology
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between MVR and TVR evaporators?
MVR uses mechanical vapor recompression with electricity as energy source, offering very low energy consumption. TVR uses thermal vapor recompression with steam as energy source, with consumption dependent on evaporation stages.
Why use a Falling Film evaporator?
Falling film evaporators provide gentle water removal with high energy efficiency and compact footprint for substantial evaporation capacity.
How high can you achieve in total solids?
Maximum solids concentration depends on product type, with stickiness and viscosity being determining factors for each specific application.
Does viscosity impact evaporator performance?
Yes, viscosity is critical for effective evaporation. Products must remain pumpable throughout the concentration process.
What products can run on falling film evaporators?
Almost all pumpable liquids and soluble products can be processed using falling film evaporation technology.
