Usage Instructions
Preparation
- Read user manual thoroughly before operation
- Verify collection tube is properly sealed and cotton pad is dry
- Label relevant sample information on tube before sampling
Sampling Procedure
- Remove swab from sterile packaging
- Insert swab deep into oral or nasal cavity for sampling
- Nasal Swab: Gently insert swab head into nasal passage, rotate, and slowly withdraw
- Pharyngeal Swab: Wipe bilateral pharyngeal tonsils and posterior pharyngeal wall
Sample Processing
- Open collection tube and immerse swab head in preservative solution
- Break plastic stick at designated point to seal swab head in tube
- Discard remaining stick portion
- Screw tube cap securely and shake several times
- Place sampling tube in biohazard bag for secure transportation
