Sandblasting process, is dry sandblasting with abrasives can be steel sand, alumina, quartz sand, silicon carbide, etc., but the most applied is quartz sand, according to the parts material, surface state and processing requirements, can choose different substances of abrasives.

The surface of aluminum and its alloys can easily generate a layer of very thin aluminum oxide film (thickness is about 0.01-0.02um) which has a certain corrosion resistance in the atmosphere. But because this layer of oxide film is amorphous, it makes the surface of aluminum parts lose its original luster. In addition, the oxide film is loose and porous, uneven, not yet strong in corrosion resistance, and easy to stain. Therefore, aluminum alloy products usually need oxidation treatment.
