In the three formats of HD signal, 1080I /50Hz and 1080I /60Hz, although the number of scan lines exceeds 1000, they all adopt interline scanning mode. 1080 lines are completed by two scans, and the actual number of scan lines per scan is only half, i.e. 1080/2=540 lines. Because a complete picture needs two scans to display, the principle of interlaced scanning technology is limited, there are still slight flickering and crawling phenomenon when displaying fine pictures, especially still pictures. But 720p/60Hz is different, it adopts the progressive scanning mode, a complete picture is displayed at a time, the number of scanning lines can reach 720, horizontal scanning up to 1280 points; At the same time, as the field frequency is 60Hz, the picture is stable and clear without flickering.
