The luffing and slewing stacker is the most versatile type of stacker with 3,500 tons per hour capacity since it can slew from one stockpile to another on the other side of the yard, building uniform stockpiles on both sides of the yard feed conveyor. This stacker can build a stockpile in chevron, cone-shell, windrow, or strata stockpiling modes.

The machine adopts developed technology, economic cost, and reliable performance, with a service lifetime of up to thirty (30) years. The major steel structures are of welded construction made of steel plate or sectional steel and are of sufficient strength, rigidity, and stability. High strength grip bolts shall be used for site assembly of the major large steel structure members to facilitate the erection and pick-up points / lifting eyes are provided for each structural member to facilitate the transportation and handling operation. All structures and mechanisms are designed to bear the dynamic load, static load, horizontal load, and impact load. Besides the calculation for strength, rigidity, and fatigue, the calculation for the whole and partial stability shall be done as well. Each mechanism and component is designed to be of good performance and strength and also interchangeable to the extent feasible. Those wearing parts will be designed to be easily checked and replaced.
