Ferrosilicon Description

Ferro silicon Alloy is an alloy of iron and silicon with a very variable silicon content between 60 % and 65 %. It is used as a socalled master alloy in steel production, which is added in small amounts in order to adjust the properties of the melt, the cooling process and the finished product. The main advantage of FeSi is its deoxidizing effect (i. e. it reduces metals from their oxides), but it also helps to prevent the loss of carbon.

Ferrosilicon Use

(1) Used as deoxidizer and alloying agents in the steel industry.

(2) Used as nucleating agent and spheroid zing agent in the iron industry.Adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon in iron cast can reduce the carbide of the iron and Promote the precipitation and nodulizing of

graphite.

(3) Fesi 75% alloy is the main raw materials of producing metal magnesium, tons of consumption is at about 1.1 tons.

(4) Ferrosilicon powder milled or atomized can be used as suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and electrode coating in the electrode manufacturing.
