Ferro silicon 72 is silver grey ferro alloy and it mainly is used as the inoculant and nodulizers in casting industry and deoxidizer in steel making. ferro silicon 72 is a common model and very popular of ferro silicon. Ferro silicon 72, as an additive to the production process of ferrous metals, will impart several desirable properties on the resultant alloy. Some of the primary benefits of adding ferro silicon 72 to an alloy is to improve the corrosion resistant properties of the new compound. Meanwhile, adding to the high temperature heat-resistance properties of the new alloy, for instance, in the production of silicon steel for use in transformer cores.

Ferro Silicon Application: 

1.Used as deoxidizer and alloy agent in steelmaking industry.

2.Used as inoculation agent and spheroidizing agent in the cast iron industry, adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon in the cast iron process can prevent the formation of carbide in iron and promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite.
