Ferro chromium is an iron alloy composed of chromium and iron. It is an important alloy additive for steelmaking.High Carbon Ferro Chrome is made of chromite and silicon as slag flux. It is a solid solution of chromium, iron, carbon, chromium, iron and carbon complex. The product is one of the most common ferroalloys, with high strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance and other characteristics.
1.High-carbon ferrochrome is used as an alloying agent for ball steel, tool steel, die steel and high-speed steel, which can improve the hardenability of steel and increase the wear resistance and hardness of steel.
2.High-carbon ferrochrome and charge-grade ferrochrome are used in large quantities as charge for smelting stainless steel (AOD or VOD method) to reduce production costs.
