Barium Silicon Description
Silicon calcium barium Inoculants are added in liquid cast iron in order to provide the best and consistent characteristics in the final casting. They are used to control matrix structure and avoid casting defects.
Inoculants can be found under several grain size distributions to satisfy the location of the inoculant addition within the foundry process. those locations of inoculant addition are known as in furnace, in ladle, in stream or in mould.

Barium Silicon Use
1. Strongly increase the graphitized core, refine graphite, promote the production of a-type graphite in gray cast iron, improve the strength, for nodular cast iron can make graphite in nodular iron small, round, improve the level of spheroidization.
2.Barium Silicon Inoculant can effectively reduce the supercooling degree of hot metal, promote the precipitation of graphite, significantly reduce the tendency of white hole, reduce the relative hardness, and improve the cutting performance of castings.
3.The sensitivity of wall thickness is small, the uniformity of section is improved, and the tendency of shrinkage and loosening is reduced.
