Silicon Metal Description
Silicon metal is also called crystalline silicon or industrial silicon. The deoxidation efficiency of silicon metal is very high, and it is often used as the raw material of ferrosilicon alloy. In steelmaking production, silicon metal can increase furnace temperature, increase molten iron fluidity, and improve the toughness and cutting ability of castings.
Silicon metal 441 has a higher silicon content. So it can be used as an iron alloy additive in the steelmaking industry. The price of silicon metal 441 is higher than metal silicon metal 553, but the quality is better.
Silicon metal grade 441 Application:
1. The main use of silicon metal is as an additive for non-ferrous alloys.
2. Alloying agent for demanding silicon steel.
3. Silicon metal is a good component in aluminum alloys, and most cast aluminum alloys contain silicon.
