Alloy Cored Wire Description

Calcium silicon cored wire is a ferroalloy product made by grinding silicon calcium into powder as a core material and putting it into the cored wire. The cored wire is vertically inserted into the molten iron or molten steel at an ideal depth through a wire feeder, so that the cored wire will be fully melted and silicon-calcium metallurgical material can play the role more effectively.

The Main Features of Cored Wire:

1.The calcium treatment process will not bring in other oxides existing in the powder cored wire and pollute the liquid steel;

2.With high density mandrel, the quality is easy to detect, smaller surface area of the core wire, it has a longer storage life, and can minimize the Cao impurities that pollute the molten steel;

3. More uniform calcium content per meter and higher and more stable active calcium content ensure more stable calcium treatment effect;

Metallurgical Cored Wires are supplied with steel frame support / wooden pallet with moisture proof film wrapped around it to protect it from atmospheric attack. However, it is advised to store cored wire in dry area.
