Silico Manganese Description

In steelmaking, Ferro silicon manganese used as deoxidizer and alloy additives, is the largest amount of ferroalloy.The manganese ore used for smelting ferromanganese is generally required to contain 40 ~ 50% manganese, ferromanganese ratio is greater than 7, phosphorus and manganese ratio is less than 0.003. Before smelting, the manganese carbonate ore must be roasted first, and the powder ore must be sintered to form blocks. The ore with high iron and phosphorus content can only be used in combination, or the manganese rich slag with low iron and phosphorus can be obtained through selective reduction. Smelting with coke as reducing agent, some plants also with lean coal or anthracite. The auxiliary raw material is mainly lime, and silicon ore is generally added when smelting manganese silicon alloy.

1. Silicon manganese alloy is mainly used as an intermediate material for deoxidizer and alloying agent in iron and steel production, and is also the main raw material for the production of medium and low carbon ferromanganese.

2. Silicon manganese alloy is an alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron and a small amount of carbon and other elements. It is an iron alloy with a wide range of uses and a large output.

3. The deoxidation products produced by the silicon manganese alloy have the advantages of low melting point, large particles, easy floating, and good deoxidation effect.
