The system evaluates whether EV connectors and plugs maintain structural integrity when subjected to vehicle drive-over forces, simulating real-world accidental crushing scenarios.
Accessories are positioned on a concrete floor in natural resting positions. A crushing force of 4983 N (1100 lbf) is applied using a standard automotive tire (P225/75R15) inflated to 218±13kPa. The wheel rolls over the connector at 8±2 km/h while the accessory remains fixed in position.
