Fiber Ethernet Media Converter Overview
LNK-3011WSFP is an Ethernet media converter used to convert media transmission between UTP copper cables and fiber optic SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) transceivers. It complies with the IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3 z, and IEEE802.3ab standards. Currently, it supports two types of media network connections: 10Base-T/1000Base-TX/1000Base-T and 1000Base-SX/LX, converting the electrical signal of 10Base-T/100 Base-TX/1000 Base-T twisted pair to the optical signal of 1000Base-SX/LX. It extends the transmission distance of the network from 100 meters of copper cable to 120 kilometers of fiber optic cable.
