The use of blade type mist eliminator
Herrbone plate defoggers are widely used to separate entrained droplets of 8μm or larger from airflow. When the flow passes through the blade bank defogger and changes direction, the droplet cannot change direction as quickly as the gas because of its momentum. Thus, droplets strike v-shaped blades and coalesce to form large droplets until they are expelled.
In the special environment where there are small solid particles, the blade demister is more suitable for liquid-gas separator than the wire mesh demister.
