How to choose a liquid dispenser?

From a process point of view, the liquid distributor is the most important internal tower. The liquid is required to be evenly distributed at the top of the packed column. At the same time, the liquid distributor must have sufficient gas passage area to avoid high pressure drop or liquid entrainment.

Features of ideal liquid dispensers:

Uniform liquid distribution; The fouling resistance; Adequate digging capacity; Gas pressure reduction; Minimum height; Higher cross mixing ability.
When we need to select a liquid distributor, we need to consider tower diameter, flow rate, adjustment ratio, usable height (in retrofit cases) and dirt resistance.
Weir gravity distributor:
In general, weir gravity dispensers are one of the least troublesome. It has excellent support and can handle large liquid loads. However, it usually provides only a limited number of drip points (at least 30 weirs per square metre). It is also extremely sensitive to levelness and liquid surface agitation.

Liquid distributor classification:

There are usually pressure liquid distributor and gravity liquid distributor.
Pressure liquid distributor:
It provides more open space for steam to flow. Typically, it is cheaper, lighter, less robust, and requires a smaller guide pipe. On the other hand, it requires high operating costs, easy clogging, easy corrosion and relatively poor quality. An example of a pressure liquid dispenser is a tube arm and a spray liquid dispenser.
