The open cylindrical walls and inward-bending protrusions of pall's ring allow for greater capacity and lower pressure drop than standard cylindrical rings.

The ceramic Pall ring originated from an improvement of the Lahige ring. Their open structure enables the separation of gas and liquid flows, thus facilitating more efficient mass transfer. Reduce pressure drop.
