Intended Use

Feline distemper, also known as feline leukopenia or feline infectious enteritis, referred to as feline plague, is an acute, high-contact febrile infectious disease caused by feline parvovirus, which initially manifests as anorexia and depression, followed by vomiting, diarrhea, and purulent discharge from the eyes and nose. Vomiting undigested food, followed by a yellowish or even pink viscous fluid, diarrhea is a bloody, watery stool, and feces have a special foul odor.
This reagent is used for the qualitative detection of feline parvovirus in cat feces.

Principle

This kit uses specific antigen-antibody response and colloidal gold immunochromatography to detect feline parvovirus (FPV) antigens in cat feces.
After the sample is added to the dosing well, it moves along the chromatography membrane with the colloidal gold marker, and if the feline plague virus is present in the sample, it binds to the colloidal gold marker and the antibody on the detection line (T line) to show purple red, and if the feline plague virus is not present in the sample, the detection line (T line) is not produced by purplish red bands. Regardless of whether the feline plague virus is present in the sample, a purple-red band appears on the quality control line (C line).
