1 Pit cleaning

Clean up the gravel residue inside and around the pit to be repaired. No debris such as mud ice cubes can be left in the pit. Water in the pit does not affect the construction.

2 Brush interface agent

Brush the interface agent when necessary. For example: repair of cement pavement, repair of highway.

3 Fill the pit with cold fill

Fill enough pits into the pit (a 1m³ pit requires about 2.2 tons of cold fill) until the filler is about 1.5㎝ above the road surface. After filling, it’s better that the center of the pit is slightly higher than the surrounding road surface and is curved. If the pit depth is> 4㎝, the repair material should be filled and laminated layer by layer.

4 Compaction

After laying evenly, choose appropriate compaction tools and methods for compaction according to the size and depth of the repaired area and the actual environment. Such as car tire compaction, manual compaction, vibrating plate compaction compaction ad road compactor compaction. When repairing high-grade roads, the periphery and corners of the repaired area should be fully compacted. After the pits are compacted, the joints are closed with emulsified asphalt or joint tapes.

5 Open traffic

It can be opened to traffic immediately after compaction.
