Product Usage:

This product is suitable for collecting and preserving human oral saliva samples at room temperature. DNA in saliva samples can be obtained later by nucleic acid extraction.

Saliva DNA collection tube collection method:

1. 30 minutes before collecting the saliva sample, please rinse the sundries in the mouth with drinking water.

2. Press the tip of the tongue against the root of the upper or lower jaw to enrich the saliva, and gently spit the saliva into the collection funnel until the liquid saliva (non-bubble) reaches the height of the scale line.

3. Hold the saliva collection tube in an upright position, and use the other hand to assist in selecting the collection funnel.

4. Remove the collection tube cap from the bottom of the collection tube, and tighten the collection tube with the cap.

5. Turn the collection tube upside down 5 times to fully mix the saliva and the saliva preservation solution.

Sample requirements:

The collected saliva samples are required to be free of debris and sputum.

Saliva collection tube Notes:

1. Do not eat, smoke, chew gum or drink water 30 minutes before the saliva sample is collected.

2. Most people need 2-5 minutes to collect saliva samples according to the above steps.

3. Before starting to collect saliva, please relax your cheeks and gently massage your cheeks with your fingers for 15-30 seconds to generate saliva.

4. Confirm that the outer packaging of the saliva DNA sample collection tube is intact, and check the saliva collection tube to confirm that there is no leakage.

5. Saliva DNA detection Under room temperature storage conditions, the saliva samples collected by this product can be stored stably for 12 months, and within the storage period, high-quality high-molecular-weight DNA can be isolated. Due to individual differences in samples, the specific shelf life of different samples fluctuates.

6. This product is for one-time use, and it is forbidden to use it twice. It is forbidden for different patients to use the same saliva collection tube.

7. Saliva DNA testing The saliva samples collected should be regarded as infectious substances, and the operation and handling must comply with relevant regulations.

Saliva Collection Tube Important:

1. Do not rotate the funnel before use, the saliva preservation solution is not edible!
