The dry press process involves forming and transfer molding followed by oven drying or natural wind drying. This creates packaging with one smooth side and one rough side, with typical wall thickness ranging from 1.5mm to 3.0mm. The raw material consists of 100% OCC (Old Corrugated Container), making it more cost-effective than wet pressing processes.
Our in-house engineering team and modern molded pulp equipment enable comprehensive services from concept development, engineering design, tooling creation, to manufacturing. We offer three main types of molded pulp products:
- Thermoformed / Thin Walled: 0.6mm to 1.3mm thickness for high-quality electronics and cosmetic packaging
- Transfer Molded (Dry Press): 1.5mm to 3.0mm thickness for speakers, appliances, and industrial applications
- Processed: Secondary treatments including coating, printing, hot stamping, or additives
Prototyping tooling completed in approximately 7 days, with production tooling ready in about 14 days.
