Installation Guidelines
- Apply oil to contact surfaces between fish plate and rail, and on bolt threads
- Stagger nuts inside and outside when threading fish bolts
- Follow proper tightening sequence: for four-hole fish plates, tighten middle two bolts first, then side bolts, followed by re-tightening middle bolts
- Use appropriate 55cm screw wrench - avoid excessive leverage tools
- If bolts cannot be inserted, gently tap fish plate ends to align holes - never hammer bolts directly
