Quality Standards
Surface Quality Requirements
- No cracks, folds, scars, bubbles, or inclusions permitted
- Indentations, pits, and scratches limited to allowable negative deviation values
- Hairlines depth not exceeding 1mm
- No residual cracks, delaminations, or shrinkage holes on rail end faces
- End face skew not exceeding 5mm in any direction
- Burrs longer than 4mm must be removed
- Surface defects may be cleaned longitudinally with air shovel
- No welding repairs or filling of surface defects permitted
Geometric Tolerances
- Lateral curvature: ≤1.5mm per meter, total ≤8mm
- Vertical curvature: total ≤6mm
- End bending within 0.5m: ≤1mm
- Torsion: ≤1/10,000 of full length
- Cross-section asymmetry: rail bottom ≤2mm, rail head ≤0.6mm
- Rail bottom center protrusion: ≤0.5mm from sides
