The Automatic transmission input shaft seal is used to seal oil (oil is the most common liquid substance in the transmission system, and also generally refer to the general liquid substance). It segregates the lubricating components in the transmission parts from the force components, and does not allow the oil to leak out. Static seals and dynamic seals (usually reciprocating) are called seals by seals.
