1. PRODUCT PROFILE

Soft seated gate valves, in ductile iron GGG40 or GGG50 with flat body and EPDM covered wedge, are suitable for drinking water applications, being coated with epoxy powder painting, not toxic. This kind of gate valves are inside screw, with non rising stem in SS420, wedge EPDM vulcanized and sliding rails on the body. The soft seated gate valves are full bore, have no pressure drops, with the EPDM covered wedge that is not affected by corrosion and that doesn’t need any maintenance. In case of need, o-rings on the stem can be replaced with the valve in the pipeline and in complete open position. Soft seated gate valves in ductile iron can be installed above or under the ground level, or in chambers.

2. FEATURES

· Full bore design

· A round rubber bonnet gasket fits into a recess in the valve bonnet preventing it from being blown out by pressure surges.

· The stainless steel bonnet bolts are countersunk in the valve bonnet, encircled by the bonnet gasket and sealed with hot melt. · Thus there is no risk of corrosion as the bolts are not exposed to the medium or soil.

· Low operating torque

· A NBR wiper ring protects against dirt from outside.

· A polyamid bearing with 4 NBR O-rings protects against galvanic corrosion.

· An EPDM rubber manchette sealing acts as the main hydraulic seal to the flow.

· Every valve be 100% tested and qualified before packing and delivery
