Embedded parts (prefabricated embedded parts) are components that are pre-installed (embedded) in concealed works. They are components and accessories placed during the pouring of the structure for overlapping during superstructure masonry. In order to facilitate the installation and fixation of the foundation of external engineering equipment, most of the embedded parts are made of metal, such as steel bars or cast iron, or non-metallic rigid materials, such as wood, plastic, etc.

What are the options for embedded parts?

As you already know, the general structure is pretty simple - a plate and an anchor. However, the plates can be made of different alloys, with different thicknesses and shapes. The number and type of anchors can also vary quite widely - it can be round or profiled bars of various diameters. In some cases, the anchors can be threaded, which makes it possible to adjust the connection

In addition, the embedded parts are open or closed. In the first case there is only one plate, in the second - there is a plate on both sides of the anchor

To give the parts additional properties, they can have various coatings, such as galvanized. This improves corrosion resistance and extends service life

The production technology of embedded parts does not imply any particular complexity:

Cut sheet metal of desired thickness into sheets of desired shape

Weld the desired amount of reinforcement of a given type and length to the plate

Finished parts are additionally treated (galvanized, painted, etc.)

In the pouring stage of reinforced concrete structures, most of the embedded parts need to be fully or partially submerged in the concrete. These elements connect (weld, screw) separate parts of a prefabricated foundation or attach stairs, wall panels, ceilings and other closed structures to it
