Power Steering Pump Replacement Guide
- Remove the low-side hose from the gear and allow the system to drain
- Replace the hose and refill the reservoir. Run engine while turning wheel
- Remove hose and allow system to drain completely
- Remove low-side hose from the pump
- Remove high-side hose from the pump
- Remove bolts from bracket and remove pump from vehicle
- Reinstall pump and bracket bolts
- Reinstall hoses, refill and purge the system
Important Note: Running a power steering pump without oil can cause immediate damage. Repair any leaks promptly and refill with appropriate fluid.
