High Hardness Casting and Rolling 6061 T6 Aluminum Pipe
The T6 refers to the temper or degree of hardness, which is achieved by precipitation hardening. This grade has a good strength-to-weight ratio and is also heat-treatable. With great formability and weldability, it is used for engineering and structural applications, boats, furniture, and more.
Is Aluminum 6061 a hard or soft metal?
These alloys are somewhat hard, with 6061 aluminum being the harder of the two (95 vs. 55), which increases its machinability but decreases its surface finish. While more easily indented, 3003 aluminum can come to a chrome finish, which is aesthetically pleasing and easy to clean
