Describe
1.2842 die steel is a cold-worked tool steel with high hardenability, high hardness, wear resistance and high cutting edge sharpness. This grade is not easily deformed during heat treatment, has high regularity of dimensional changes and high tool durability. It does not withstand overheating very well, which is related to the low resistance to tempering.
