Production Information
AMS 5644 Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel Alloy.
It is a semi-austenitic and is austenitic when annealed
state and hardened state of martensite. AMS 5644 provides high strength and hardness, excellent fatigue properties, good corrosion resistance and minimal heat treatment distortion. It is easily formed in the annealed state and then hardened
High strength levels are achieved by simple heat treatment at conditions RH 950 and TH 1050.
Excellent mechanical properties at temperatures up to 900ºF (482ºC).
