Product Information
DIN 1.2738 steel is a plastic mold steel equivalent to AISI P20 + Ni tool steel. Nickel, chromium, and molybdenum are alloying elements for hardness and toughness. 1.2738 tool steel is specially designed for the plastic mold industry, especially for large steel mold parts.
Size Range
Round bar / Wire rod (Diameter): 5.0 mm to 500 mm
Square bar / Flat bar: 1.0 mm to 500 mm
Forging piece: Stepped shafts with flanks / discs /tubes /slugs /donuts /cubes /other different shapes based on OEM.
Heavy/middle plate via hot rolled: T5 - 1000 mm X W10 - 1000 mm X L1000-12000 mm
Sheet steel via cold rolled: T3 - 10 mm X W5 - 1000 mm X L100 - 1000 mm
Steel strip via cold rolled: T0.5 - 10 mm X W5 - 1000 mm X L (or in coil form)
Length: Fixed length or random length or based on the customer's special requirement.
