Product Information
2.4642 is a high chromium nickel alloy with excellent resistance to many corrosive water media and high temperature environments. The high chromium content of this alloy provides excellent alkali resistance, metal dust resistance, oxidation, and vulcanization properties at high temperatures. In addition to corrosion resistance, 2.4642 alloy also has high strength, good metallurgical stability, and good manufacturing characteristics.
Size Range
Round bar / Wire rod (Diameter):1.0 mm to 500 mm
Square bar / Flat bar: 1.0 mm to 500 mm
Forging piece: Stepped shafts with flanks / discs /tubes /slugs /donuts /cubes /other different shapes based on OEM.
Heavy/middle plate via hot rolled: T1.0 - 1000 mm X W10 - 1000 mm X L800-12000 mm
Sheet steel via cold rolled: T1.0 - 10 mm X W10 - 1000 mm X L100 - 1000 mm
Steel strip via cold rolled: T3.0 - 10 mm X W10 - 1000 mm X L (or in coil form)
Length: Fixed length or random length or based on the customer's special requirement.

The resistance of DIN NiCr29Fe/2.4642 to sulfur containing gases makes it the main material for applications such as coal gasification devices, burners and pipelines for sulfuric acid treatment, petrochemical processing furnaces, recovery devices, incinerators, and vitrification devices for radioactive waste treatment.
