Product Information

UNS S42900 is a ferritic stainless steel, also known as ASTM A240 Type 429 stainless steel. It contains a high proportion of chromium to improve its corrosion resistance and heat resistance. In addition, it also contains a small amount of molybdenum element to improve its corrosion resistance.
UNS S42900 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, and wear resistance. It also has good machinability and weldability, and can use the most common machining and welding techniques. However, UNS S42900 stainless steel is prone to deformation and fatigue at high temperatures, and careful consideration should be given when using it.

Forging piece: Stepped shafts with flanks / discs /tubes /slugs /donuts /cubes /other different shapes based on OEM.
Heavy/middle plate via hot rolled: T5.0 - 1500 mm X W5 - 1000 mm X L100-1000 mm
Sheet steel via cold rolled: T1.0 - 10 mm X W1 - 1000 mm X L100 - 1000 mm
Steel strip via cold rolled: T2.0 - 10 mm X W3.0 - 1000 mm X L (or in coil form)
Length: Fixed length or random length or based on the customer's special requirement.

Applications
