This parallel 100Gb/s Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP28) optical module provides increased port density and significant system cost savings. The full-duplex design offers 4 independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of 25Gb/s operation for an aggregate data rate of 100Gb/s. The module converts parallel electrical input signals into parallel optical signals using a driven Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) array and accepts electrical input signals compatible with Common Mode Logic (CML) levels.
