Helium leak detector utilize the property of helium molecules to diffuse in a vacuum by injecting helium into the interior or surroundings of the object being tested. Then, a helium mass spectrometer is used to detect the presence of helium in the surrounding environment, and if it is present, it indicates that there is a leak or crack in the object being inspected. Helium molecules are very small and can pass through very small holes or cracks, helium leak detectors are able to detect very small holes. At the same time, helium is a very stable gas that does not react with other substances and does not affect the object to be detected. In a word, helium leak detectors are highly sensitive instruments for detecting gas leaks and their working principle is based on mass spectrometry and the properties of helium.
