Sliding arm in excavator, also known as a telescopic arm or extendable arm, is a type of hydraulic arm that is attached to an excavator. Sliding arm of excavator is designed to increase versatility of the excavator by allowing the arm to extend and retract. Excavator sliding boom is mounted on the end of the excavator's boom and consists of a hydraulic cylinder that can be extended and retracted to adjust the length of the arm.
The upper section of the excavator's sliding boom includes a cylinder assembly and a piston rod. The cylinder assembly is mounted on the fixed body, while the piston rod is connected to the movable excavator slide arm. When pressure is applied to the cylinder assembly, the piston rod extends, pushing the movable sliding body away from the fixed body.
The lower portion of the excavator's sliding arm consists of a box frame, a base plate, and a rail. The box frame is secured to the base plate, and the rail is mounted on the box frame. The movable sliding body is equipped with a pair of rollers that move along the rail, enabling it to slide along the rail and move in various directions.
