A sliding arm, also called a telescopic arm or extendable arm, is a hydraulic arm attached to an excavator. When the cylinder assembly is pressurized, the piston rod extends, pushing the movable sliding body away from the fixed body.
The lower part of the excavator sliding arm is composed of a box frame, a bottom plate, and a guide rail. The box frame is fixed on the bottom plate, and the guide rails are installed on the box frame. A pair of rollers running along the track are installed on the movable sliding body so that it can slide along the track and move in different directions.
