Introduction Of Tenebrio Molitor Worms(Mealworms)

Mealworms are the larval form of the Tenebrio molitor beetle, a species of darkling beetle. Like all holometabolic insects, they go through four life stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. Larvae typically measure about 2.5 cm or more, whereas adults are generally between 1.25 and 1.8 cm in length.

It takes about 65-68 days for mealworms to hatch from eggs to larvae that can be dried and processed. Since mealworm reproduction and growth time is very short, we can easily adjust mealworm production. The processing method is microwave drying with large microwave equipment. This ensures that the mealworms' proteins and fats are not damaged during drying.

Mealworms Feed:

wheat bran, seasonal vegetables and fruits.

Because wheat and vegetables are the main crops in the northern Plains of China, the price of mealworm feed is very low, so the area is ideal for large-scale mealworm farming.
