1. Descriptions:

Hydroxypropyl guar gum is a derivative of guar gum obtained by etherification of guar gum with propylene oxide. Used in shaving products, can effectively reduce the skin irritation of surfactant, protect keratin from damage, make skin smooth, reduce the loss of natural lipids in the skin.

Some surfactants denature proteins. When proteinaceous material such as red blood cells is exposed to a surfactant system, the cell surface is denatured and ruptures releasing hemoglobin into solution. As cellular damage increases, more hemoglobin is released into solution which becomes increasingly red. Addition of Synerguar polymer to the surfactant system can dramatically reduces the release of hemoglobin. The result is less skin redness.
